ABOUT BERSERKER FARMs

Our small scale farm is located near Arran, SK. We believe that optimal health is each person’s birthright and is made possible through our food. Our journey evolved from city dwellers, to homesteaders to first generation farmers. We believe in farming the way nature intended - a reciprocal relationship that allows us to be stewards of the land and its animals. We operate our farm using sustainable practices, such as rotational grazing that builds the health and vitality of the soil. Farming has given us a deep respect and appreciation for where our food comes from and how it is raised.

Small local farms are the key to creating a more resilient, healthy and meaningful agricultural system. We would love the opportunity to become your farmers and bring regenerative agriculture to your kitchen!

What is Regenerative Agriculture?

Regenerative Agriculture describes farming and grazing practices that, among other benefits, reverse climate change by rebuilding soil organic matter and restoring degraded soil biodiversity. Unlike conventional farming which is based around monoculture and fights nature with chemicals, tillage, and high inputs, regenerative agriculture works with the land and its animals in a way that supports and depends upon diversity.

Pasture raised MEATS

Everything we do is aimed at creating a natural habitat for our animals to thrive in. Our farm works with nature, not against it. This means supporting our livestock with premium nutrition allowing their own innate capacity to fight off disease and infection without the use of synthetic drugs. When animals are given dewormers, injections and antibiotics, these harmful drugs end up in the meat, which end up in us!

Working with nature supports and gives back to the land, allowing it to continuously rebuild itself and provide for its stewards without synthetic fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides which damage the local ecosystem and our health.

"Mother Nature has made our health integrated into her very fabric of the microbiome and virome, if our relationship is adversarial, we will die."

- Dr. Zach Bush MD
